"Devil is in the Details"

That is the name of one of the monthly challenges over at Scrap the Boys. This month the Details Element is RIBBONS!
There is also an optional sketch you can follow, but this month I decided just to use the ribbon.
And here is is:

And a few close ups:

I am really happy with how this one turned out!!
Thanks for looking:)

Being thankful for the little things....

This layout is for the August Sketch Challenge over at Scrapbooking from Scratch. I used up some of my left overs, although I will be sad when all this Crate Paper pack is finished, and created this:

This photo is taken at Tilly's last year and is of Sam and one of the teachers there, Lisa. I just loved this photo and have had it on my desk to do for a while. I have scratched an outline on the photo to highlight Sam and Lisa and around the circle I have written repeatedly: Be Thankful, Give Thanks.
Then on my journalling card I have written the following: It's always a worry when you go back to work and you put your children into care. But I am so HAPPY with the care you guys have at Tilly's. This photo is of Sam & Lisa is one I LOVE because Sam looks so HAPPY! So I give thanks for that :)
And thank you for looking !!!!!!

The latest and some sour cream...............

What a glorious day we are having here today!!! I have been out in the garden for a while enjoying the sun, I love warm weather and hate being cold, so I can't wait for winter to be over!!!!!
These are some of the layouts I have done recently.
The first one is one of the August Sketches over at Wicked Princesses. I used the August Were Savvy kit and love how it's turned out :)

This next one was a sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. It's the first time I've joined in over there, but I think I will again!!! I loved the sketch and how my page came together. they are photos of my dad and his siblings. One when they were young and one taken about three years ago. I love seeing the difference and am amazed that they are still all here.....

I used a kit from over at scrapbooking from scratch for this one. Talk about sharing the love :)

And now for the sour cream part!! I have a 2 year old that gets into EVERYTHING!!! I mean absolutely EVERYTHING!!! If you leave anything on the table she eats it. And here she is into the tub of sour cream:) I think you can tell by these photos that she is soooooooooooooooooooooo cheeky!!!

Sometimes it's cute and other times it's pull your hair out and pour another bourbon!!!
Hope you are all doing something great on the weekend, enjoying the sunshine and your families.

A little bit of yellow..........

Here are my layouts for the challenges this month at Kraft and 1,2, 3, Challenge sites.
Both layouts had to have some yellow, which I will admit I don't use that much.
The first one is the 1,2,3 Challenge. It's criteria was the word sunshine, glimmer misting and the colour yellow. I wet my yellow cardstock strips and crumbled them, they sprayed lots of pearl glimmer mist. I then sewed them onto my layout. As you can see the word sunshine appears a few times (thanks to Stevie Wonder) !!!

The Kraft Challenge was using yellow, green, black and of course Kraft.
