Girls, Boys or both???

School holidays has allowed me to scrap a little bit more, yes I have the holidays off! And my kids are getting that bit older so they are happy, most of the time, doing their own things.
So today I'm sharing my entries for the Scrap The Girls Challenge and Scrap The Boys.
First up is my entry for Scrap The Girls. It was a moodpboard challenge this month:

I used a photo of my eldest daughter, Lily. I love the look of steely determination on her face in it! And I thought the inspiration board was kinda a warrior women iykwim??? And obviously I've used the colours from the mood board as well.

And my entry for Scrap The Boys is below, this month they had a sketch challenge to play along with.

Krafty Inspiration

So this month I am actually linking my entry for the Kraft + challenge blog!!
I joined in last month, by completely forgot to share lol
Not that I enter just to be in the running for the fab prizes, but seriously who doesn't love free craft goodies, but really just to get me moving.
Sometimes I just sit here and shuffle paper around the page, but the inspiration from the challenge sites really help to get the ball rolling.
This month the inspiration is roses. Roses three ways. And my layout is:

My cut file is roses, there are plenty of roses in my patterned papers and and my embellishments have roses.

And here is my entry for last month :)

Have you?

Have you checked out Jot Magazine yet?
Jot Mag is helping creative women find simple, fresh, fun and fast ways to tell their stories and document their lives. A digital magazine, blog, social media and ebooks.
They have a monthly mood board challenge and also regularly call on submissions for their magazine. I often try my hand at the challenge but as yet haven't braved a submission!!! One day I will!!!

This month the mood board is:

And my attempt:

And a close up:

I was trying to use the mustard, blue and gold from the board. I must admit my layout went in a totally different direction than I first thought. But truth be told I like how it ended up!!!

Since it's school holidays I have been trying to fit in a bit more creative time and have been experimenting in my art journal. Nothing too exciting, but I'll share anyway.
Drawing isn't my strong point, but if I  don't try I'll never be any better, and if I preach that to my kids I better tell myself the same thing.

Thanks for dropping by xx

January Challenges

Last night I scrapped three pages!! I know, wow!!
I did think I would do a lot more these holidays but I seem to spend most of my time binge watching Pretty Little Liars with my girls lol
Scrap the Boys this month was to scrap a layout using numbers.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the numbers out of my card stock and some Colour Blast shimmer dust to add some colour.

Next up is the mood board challenge at Scrap The Girls:

I've had this background in my collection for ages. I have a entire folder full of backgrounds that I've made and for some reason or another haven't used. Sometime I can't be bothered waiting for them to dry and sometimes they don't turn out how I expected so they have been pushed aside for another day!!

And the last one is a just because. It's another background I have had for ages! I was scrolling through pinterest the other day and saw a layout that made me dig this out and use.

White With One

Another challenge entry!!

This time it's over at the White...with 1 site. And this months criteria is:

Pink with two girls in the house shouldn't be to difficult lol
This is my attempt:

The stencil on my background was created with my silhouette machine and I used it with Colour Blast Colour Paste in snow white.  On the Charms Creations XO I used my Emboss It Dabber and shabby white embossing enamel from Stampednous!

Kraft+: On Your Bike!

Hi there,

This month at the Kraft+ Challenge Blog the criteria is to put a bike somewhere on your layout (on Kraft of course!!).

Here is my attempt:

I have had this photo for years!!!
I love it so much, but had no idea how to scrap it......But finally I decided to use it. I'm not 100% loving it, but hey I'm scrapping, having fun and being creative and that's why I do this.
